The key terms that apply when you engage Glo-Web for design, development, hosting, maintenance or SEO — in plain language.
This page summarises the key terms that apply when you engage Glo-Web (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2026/604968/07, for web design, development, hosting, maintenance, or SEO services. It is a plain-language overview for reference — every client engagement is governed by our full signed Terms and Conditions agreement, which takes precedence in the event of any conflict with this page.
Glo-Web (Pty) Ltd is a private company incorporated in South Africa, based in Langebaan, Western Cape. We design and build custom, hand-coded websites for businesses of any size, and offer optional ongoing maintenance and SEO retainers.
We provide fixed-price website design and development, using vanilla HTML, CSS, and JavaScript — no templates or page builders. Every project includes two rounds of revisions, foundational technical SEO, and a free 2-week editing window after launch.
Optional monthly retainers are available for ongoing maintenance (R299/month), SEO management (R1,999/month), or a combined maintenance and SEO management package (R2,199/month).
All website projects are quoted as a fixed price — never billed hourly. Payment is split into a 60% deposit, due before any work begins, and a 40% final payment, due before your website is deployed live. Monthly retainers are billed via debit order and may be cancelled at any time by email.
We do not start any design, development, or revision work until your deposit has been received and cleared. Paying the deposit confirms you’re happy for us to proceed with the agreed scope of work.
Once your deposit clears, your first draft is scheduled for review within 5 business days — in practice, we often deliver sooner than that.
Every project includes exactly two structured rounds of revisions, conducted over a call, after your deposit is paid and before final payment is due. Requests beyond these two rounds, or outside the originally agreed scope, are quoted separately as additional work before we proceed.
You may cancel a project at any stage. How much of your deposit is refundable depends on how much work has already been completed at the point of cancellation — the earlier you cancel, the more you get back. If we haven’t started any work yet, you’ll receive a full refund.
Once your website is live, Glo-Web reserves the right to end the working relationship immediately, without notice, if a client’s conduct toward us is abusive, threatening, or harassing.
You own your domain name, business email, and Google Business Profile. Glo-Web retains ownership of the website’s underlying source code and hosting infrastructure; you receive a licence to use your published website indefinitely for your own business.
Your website is hosted on Vercel, a professional hosting platform. Once live, your website remains online and accessible even if you choose not to continue with a maintenance retainer — we do not take sites offline for non-payment of a retainer specifically.
After your free 2-week post-launch editing window, ongoing edits are available through our monthly maintenance retainer, or on a pay-per-edit basis.
Our liability in connection with any project is limited to the amount you’ve paid us for that project (or, for retainer services, the amount paid over the preceding 12 months). We are not liable for indirect losses such as lost revenue, lost data, or reputational harm, except where such liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
Day-to-day communication happens over email or WhatsApp. Formal notices — including retainer cancellations — must be sent in writing by email.
These terms, and any agreement between you and Glo-Web, are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
This page is a summary for general reference. Every client relationship with Glo-Web is governed by a complete, signed Terms and Conditions agreement, provided and accepted before any deposit is requested, which sets out the full detail of scope, payment, revisions, intellectual property, liability, and dispute resolution.
Ask us plainly and we'll answer plainly. No lawyer required, and no obligation either way.
