Glo-Web (Pty) Ltd is a private company incorporated in the Republic of South Africa, registration number 2026/604968/07, registered address Langebaan, Western Cape, South Africa, 7357. Glo-Web builds custom websites for businesses of any size, and offers optional ongoing website maintenance and SEO management.

Glo-Web is the responsible party, under POPIA, for the personal information described in this Policy.

We only collect personal information that you give us directly, in order to build and manage your website and deliver our services. This includes:

• Your name, cell phone number, and email address (the business owner or main contact we deal with).
• The content you supply for your website — photos, logos, business information, and written content.
• Your questionnaire answers and any preferences you share with us during the project (design preferences, business details, etc.).
• Records of our communication with you (email, WhatsApp) and of the calls we have with you.
• Basic project and payment records — what was invoiced and paid. We do not collect or store your bank account or card details ourselves; those go directly to our payment provider when you pay.

We do not collect any information beyond what you give us for the purpose of building and running your website.

We use this information solely to:

• Build, launch, and maintain your website.
• Communicate with you about your project.
• Keep accurate business and payment records.
• Refer back to what was agreed on a call, if there’s ever a question about scope or a dispute.

We do not share, sell, or give your personal information to any third party, other than where it is strictly necessary to run your website itself:

• Your website is hosted through Vercel and stored in a code repository on GitHub — both are infrastructure providers, not marketing or data companies, and they do not have access to your personal contact information beyond what’s needed to keep your site running.
• If we register or manage your domain on your behalf, this is done through GoDaddy.
• Client strategy and revision calls are recorded and transcribed using Fathom, a call-recording tool, purely so we have an accurate record of what was discussed and agreed.
• If you pay us or subscribe to a monthly retainer, your payment is handled directly by our payment provider — we never see or store your card or bank account details ourselves.
• Our accountant has access to basic invoicing and payment records for tax purposes only.

This Privacy Policy is about you as our client — it does not cover the people who visit your live website once it’s built. If your website has a contact form, any messages submitted through it go directly to your own email address; Glo-Web never sees, receives, or stores that information.

Clients subscribed to our SEO management retainer receive a monthly report showing general traffic trends for their website — for example, roughly how many people visited the site and which pages were most popular. This is aggregate, anonymous visitor traffic data (numbers and patterns of visits), not personal information about any individual visitor.

We do not identify, track, or profile individual visitors by name; the purpose of this reporting is purely to give our SEO clients visibility into how their website is performing so they can gauge the impact of our ongoing SEO work. Clients who are not subscribed to the SEO retainer do not receive this reporting.

If Glo-Web contacted you directly to introduce our services, this was a single, one-time phone call using publicly available business contact information. We do not call the same business more than once, and we do not run SMS or email marketing campaigns.

This call is a consultative business conversation, not a marketing or sales script. We take the time to understand your business, discuss the challenges you’re facing, and explain how a website could help — it is a genuine two-way conversation, not a scripted pitch or unsolicited advertising message. This distinguishes our approach from mass “direct marketing” as generally understood under South African consumer protection law.

• Call recordings are kept for 3 years after your project is complete or cancelled, then deleted.
• The content and files you supply for your website (photos, logos, written content) are kept for as long as we’re building or hosting your website. If our working relationship ends, you can request a copy of your materials, and we will delete them from our systems afterward.
• Basic invoicing and payment records are kept for as long as required by South African tax law.

We store credentials and sensitive account access securely (via Bitwarden), use multi-factor authentication on our business accounts, and rely on secure, encrypted hosting (SSL/TLS via Vercel). Access to your information is limited to what’s needed to do the work for your project.

Under POPIA, you can ask us at any time to:

• Tell you what personal information we hold about you.
• Correct or update anything that’s inaccurate.
• Delete your personal information, once our working relationship has ended and we’re not legally required to keep it.
• Give you a copy of any call recording involving you.
• Stop contacting you.

If we update this Policy, the “Last updated” date at the top will change. We recommend checking back occasionally.
